Planning your high school schedule is an important step in setting yourself up to get into the college of your choice.
Colleges want to know that you’ve challenged yourself. What kind of goals did you set for yourself? Did you take advanced, honors, or AP classes? College admissions officers look to see if you took the easy road or if you really challenged yourself.
Choose electives that make you think in a different way and are challenging. Admissions officers want to know you did more than just get by.
Make sure you have taken the courses you need to be admitted including foreign language requirements.
“Colleges will be more impressed by respectable grades in challenging courses than by outstanding grades in easy ones,” according to ACT.org
