Earning an Income While in School

Earning some extra money while at school is possible without sacrificing your studies. Check our jobs on campus. Often you can study a little while working if you have a job that isn’t busy 100% of the time. Look for jobs in your dorm, working at a front desk or even earn room and board as a Resident Assistant. Think outside of the box, type papers for money, make and sell jewelry to your fellow students. If you work off campus, pick a job that either affords you a better than average income or a job that gives you experience in your field. Working while at school requires time management, a skill future employers will want. If you need help with time management or study skills, your guidance office can offer assistance. Don’t be afraid to ask. Like all skills, they take practice!
